Chief financial officer of New Haven Terminal Michael “Mike” Vasaturo is a member of the service organization Knights of Columbus, an order dedicated to assisting those in need. Michael Vasaturo and other members give back to their communities through donation drives, support for local parishes, and by performing service projects.
The Knights of Columbus is open to Catholic men aged 18 or older who are interested in making a difference in their communities. The Knights of Columbus’ first principle is charity, and the organization values members who are dedicated to getting tasks accomplished. Those who join may find that the effort they put toward charitable service gives them a sense of accomplishment and self-confidence.
Additionally, those who join the Knights of Columbus may find camaraderie within a group of likeminded individuals. Men of the organization share the values of the Catholic faith and experience support from a group their peers with whom they work side by side to accomplish service projects and donation drives. This camaraderie exemplifies the organization’s second and third principles of unity and faith.
Additionally, the Knights of Columbus provides members and their families with life insurance options in the interest of protecting families within the Catholic faith.
