Michael “Mike” Vasaturo currently serves as chief financial officer for New Haven Terminal, Inc., where he leverages his experience in the marine port services industry in handling company functions ranging from risk management to banking relations. Outside of his professional life, Michael Vasaturo is the member of the Knights of Columbus.
The Knights of Columbus is a fraternal benefit organization founded in 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney. The mission of the organization is provide financial assistance to members and their families, and also to the sick, elderly and disabled. The Knights of Columbus also promotes learning and social responsibility through its various charitable, social, religious and educational efforts.
Specifically, the Knights of Columbus routinely partners with the Special Olympics, Habitat for Humanity, and the Global Wheelchair mission in charitable works. The group also has two programs of its own–Food for Families and Coats for Kids.
Today, there are 1.9 million members of the organization serving in more than 15,000 councils across the United States, Mexico, Canada, the Dominican Republic, the Philippines, Poland, and numerous other countries.
